1. Fiberglass
Glass fiber (or fiberglass) is an inorganic non-metallic material with excellent performance and can be made into a wide variety of products. It has the advantages of good insulation, strong heat resistance, good corrosion resistance, and high mechanical strength, but it is brittle and has poor wear resistance. Fiberglass is generally used as reinforcing material, electrical insulation and heat insulation materials among composite materials, circuit boards and other national economy fields.
2. Fiberglass yarn
Fiberglass yarn is made of glass balls or waste glass through high-temperature melting, wire drawing, winding, weaving and other processes. The diameter of its single filament is several microns to more than 20 microns, which is equivalent to a hair 1/20-1/5 of silk, and each bundle of fiber precursors is composed of hundreds or even thousands of monofilaments. Fiberglass yarn is generally in Tex, which is the mass of 1000m fiberglass.
Fiberglass spun yarn is generally within 200tex, and the medium-alkali fiberglass yarn produced by our company includes 50tex, 80tex, 100tex and 160tex. Fiberglass roving is more than 200tex and is the raw material of fiberglass woven roving. Fiberglass yarn is the raw material of all kinds of fiberglass fabrics, such as fiberglass mesh, fiberglass aluminum foil fabric and fiberglass plain cloth.
Fiberglass yarn is classified into textile yarn, pultrusion roving, winding yarn, spray-up roving, gypsum roving, and roving for chopped strands according to its application.
